Windows XP TerraBroad Configuration:
TerraBroad user are connected 24/7 through broadband
solution, thus eliminating all the headache of dialup
problems and phone bills.
To verify your computer settings are correctly
configured for TerraBroad, follow these steps:
Open Control Panel by going to My Computer
or by clicking on Start>Settings and then double
click on Network Connections to open.
Among the icons, right click on Local Area
Connection and click on Properties.
In General tab, under the field "This
connection uses the following items:" scroll to the last
protocol called Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and
highlighted by clicking once on it. Then click on
Properties button.
Here, you should make sure that "use
the following IP address" and "Use the following
DNS server" are selected. Make sure that the
settings are the same that were given to you by our LSP
the first time he did the configuration:

IP address: your IP address (it
should be in the following format: 10.xxx.xxx.xxx)

Subnet mask: 255.255.255.192
-
Default gateway: your gateway
address (it should be similar to your IP address but
the last digit differs)

Prefered DNS server: 212.98.130.34
-
Alternate DNS server: 212.98.130.35
Click on OK.
Now click on Advanced tab and under "Windows
Firewall" click on Settings button.
The Windows Firewall window will open. In
General tab, it is advisable to select Off (not
recommended) to avoid any disconnection from our
servers. The click OK, and OK on Local
Area Connection window.
In case you need to use the firewall to prevent any
suspicious attacks on your PC. then keep the selection
on On (recommended) and make sure that
Don't allow exceptions is unchecked
Now go to Advanced tab. In the "ICMP"
field click Settings button.

The following window called ICMP Settings will
appear. check the first option in the list Allow
incoming echo request, and leave the rest blanks.

Now click on OK on all open
windows to apply new settings.
N.B:
--> If you are using a
third party firewall, please refer to its help guide or
user manual for proper settings for ICMP and make sure
to allow "incoming echo request".
--> Windows
95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows 2000
doesn't have an integrated firewall.
