TerraNet Launches the TerraNet Mobile Center Providing its Subscribers with Free SMS Messages

Beirut, Lebanon, --- August 2002
TerraNet, Lebanon’s leader in Internet communications, launched today the TerraNet Mobile Center, which allows anyone to send SMS messages to their friends, family, and other mobile subscribers in Lebanon or around the world.

TerraNet's mobile messaging center is currently a FREE service provided monthly to TerraNet's subscribers only.

Through offering this service, TerraNet is taking the Internet messaging service from the users' desktops to their recipients' pockets.

Mobile instant messaging is a cost-effective way for people to maintain near real-time communications between distant individuals, faster than e-mail yet less disturbing than a telephone call.
TerraNet's latest plans for providing its Free SMS value-added service could help its users keep in touch with any individual even when on the road.

The services will allow TerraNet subscribers to perform basic messaging functions such as signing in to and out of the system using their TerraNet username and password, sending SMS messages to their desired recipients, adding new contacts to their address book, sending out messages to multiple users, and viewing their detailed message history.

The Free TerraNet SMS service is available to all TerraNet users on http://corp.terra.net.lb/mobilecenter.
